I grew up on the remote island of Pabay, off the coast of Skye, inhabited only by my family, farm stock and abundant wildlife. It instilled a deep love of nature and the images seen and felt have found their way into my work.
I returned to Skye in 1971 after Art College, and began the workshop at Edinbane. It is now a thriving and highly respected pottery.
The whole process of making, decorating, firing & selling an ever changing flow of work I find very exciting & stimulating & sustaining!
I now work with my wife Julie, and usually another potter, currently Andreas from Germany.
